Dwarf Mistletoe Reduction Restoration

Dwarf mistletoe can compromise the intent of the prescription when the presence of severe dwarf mistletoe is a secondary consideration. While restoration prescriptions emphasize retaining spatial and structural patterns of trees as a primary consideration, the mistletoe reduction prescription emphasizes the removal of trees likely to die from the infestation, or be seriously impacted by the disease in the future. The mistletoe reduction prescription concentrates on leaving a stand more resilient, and less impacted by the presence of dwarf mistletoe.
